A thoughtful beginning to better care.
It starts with a short pre-screening form. If we are a good match, you complete the intake packet, schedule your appointment, and we meet for a full 75-minute psychiatric evaluation.
Fill out the pre-screening form
A short form about what you are looking for, what you have tried, and how you would like to work. Nothing to pay at this stage.
Hear back about fit
I review it myself and reply directly, letting you know whether this practice is a good match for what you need.
Complete the intake packet
Health history, medications, and consent forms, submitted up front so the appointment itself is spent on you rather than on paperwork.
Schedule your appointment
You receive times and fees in writing, and your first appointment is scheduled — no screening call in between.
Your 75-minute evaluation
A full psychiatric evaluation: history, health, sleep, medications, work, relationships, and what has and has not helped. We finish with a plan you agree with.
Private pay, stated plainly.
This practice does not contract with insurance panels. That keeps appointments long, notes private, and treatment decisions between us. You receive a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement, and a good-faith estimate before your first visit.
Questions people ask first.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book the evaluation yourself.
Is the first appointment a screening call?
No. You complete a written pre-screening form before booking, and your first appointment is a full 75-minute psychiatric evaluation with a plan at the end.
Can you prescribe?
Yes — evaluation, diagnosis, prescribing, and ongoing medication management, including most psychiatric medications.
Do you offer therapy as well as medication?
Yes, and often together. One clinician holding both means the therapy and the prescription are informed by the same conversation.
What if I do not want medication?
Then we do not start medication. Therapy alone is a legitimate plan, and preferring it is clinical information, not resistance.
How often will we meet?
Weekly, biweekly, or monthly depending on what you need — and it changes as things change.
Do you take insurance?
No. Private pay, with superbills for out-of-network reimbursement and fees in writing before you book.
What states are you accepting patients in?
California only at this time. I am licensed in California and accepting patients located there. Telehealth requires that you be physically located in a state where I hold an active license at the time of your appointment.
What if I need a higher level of care?
We will work as a team to find you the right setting. An outpatient telehealth practice is not the right fit for everything.
Is this confidential?
Yes. Appointments take place over secure video, and your records are kept confidential in line with HIPAA and California law.
If you are in crisis
Call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), or go to your nearest emergency department. This practice cannot provide emergency or after-hours crisis coverage.
